SMU-DE Launches MBA in Banking and Finance Programme

This year, the Sikkim Manipal University Distance Education (SMU-DE) has launched a specialist degree programme that meets banks’ requirements namely MBA in Banking and Finance. The newly launched programme is powered byEduNxt, an industry-recognized interactive learning system that supplements learning in a highly online environment.
 
The eligibility prescribed for admission into the MBA in Banking and Finance programme is that candidates must be a graduate with a minimum of three year’s experience in BFSI. The 4-semester course will cater to working professionals in banks. In addition, the option of lateral entry is available for this course as it is proposed for professionals with relevant work experience.
 
The lateral entry rules set for enrollment into programme is that the University shall consider candidates’ eligible for lateral entry based on documents submitted by the applicant that are ratified/ attested by the company they are employed with. However, all students of MBA Banking and Finance admitted under the lateral entry scheme are required to appear and qualify in the first semester MBA subjects. Students eligible for the lateral entry scheme will get period remission for one semester.
