South Asian Representatives Conference To Be Held For Development of Education

New Delhi: In order to bring reform in current education scenario, representatives of prominent South Asian countries including India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, and Nepal will meet in a conference organized by UNESCO at New Delhi on Wednesday and Thursday i.e on March 24 and 25, 2010.
 
The meeting, which is the fructification of the efforts made by the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD), the World Bank, UNDP, and UNICEF, intends to develop strong relations among UNESCO, the representatives and other partners of South Asia. India’s HRD Minister Kapil Sibal will inaugurate the event.  
 
The meeting will form the basis for improving the quality and accessibility of education in these nations. It will enlighten the issues confronted in the progress of education, policies and strategies will be laid down in order to cope with the hindrances and expand the scope of education in South Asian Nations.
 
The agenda of the meeting will be the discussion on the current scenario of education in their respective nations and ways to formulate certain guidelines to improve the conditions. In order to inculcate better ways for development in the field of education, interactive role among the parliamentarians is much needed.
 
The meeting is the need of the hour in order to accomplish the international goal of 'Education for All', especially for the developing countries. Cooperation among the nations, commitment from the political parties is a must to step towards the path of success.
