Chennai: The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), SRM University, Ramapuram campus, in association with the New Delhi-based IEEE MTT-S, organized an International Conference on Communication and Computing, in the premises of SRM University. The two-day conference was inaugurated on April 12, 2010, by Dr Santosh Babu, the Managing Director of ELCOT (Electronics Corporation of Tamilnadu Ltd). The event is a part of silver jubilee celebrations of SRM Group.
Among other chief persons in the ongoing celebration, were SRM University Chancellor T R Pachamuthu, Oracle Consulting Solutions Director Dr Bhanu Nalagonda, and Dr Kent Chamberlin. Professor from New Hampshire University, USA. All of them addressed to the students. Dr Santosh Babu emphasized on the hidden opportunities in rural areas in the field of electronics and communication. SRM University Chancellor T R Pachamuthu informed students that during this international conference, students can come across the valuable research papers related to the field of communication, networking and VLSI, by various universities not only of the country, but also from the abroad.
