AMU to Offer Two Courses for Teachers

New Delhi: Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is going to offer two courses for teachers from Muslim Managed Institutions. As per sources, the programmes will be organized by the Centre for Promotion of Science at AMU. Further, sources told that the first programme would be on Computer Application in Teaching. The second programme would be on Introductory Science Course, sources added.
 
Furthermore, sources informed that the programmes are scheduled to be held between February 14, 2011 and February 23, 2011, under the Science Education Quality Improvement Programmes 2010-2011. Dr. Hisamuddin, Director of Centre for Promotion of Science said that the selection of the participants for these courses is made on an all India basis.
 
Further, Dr. Hisamuddin told the sources that the Centre will also provide accommodation to the participants along with traveling and dearness allowances. Moreover, he told that the Centre for Promotion of Science was established to promote the cause of science education amongst Indian Muslims. In addition, he informed that the last date for submission of application forms for the courses is February 5, 2011.
