Calcutta University PGDBPS 2011-12 Admission Notification

University of Calcutta, also known as Calcutta University, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into one year Post Graduate Diploma in Book Publishing Studies (PGDBPS), offered in session 2011-12. The course is being offered by the Centre for Studies in Book Publishing, Calcutta University in collaboration with Publishers & Booksellers Guild, Kolkata. Admission will be made on the basis of candidate's performance in the entrance test followed by interview conducted by the University.

How to apply
Interested candidates may obtain the application forms from the CU Sales counter, Asutosh Building (Ground Floor), College Street Campus, Kolkata-700073 (between 11am – 3pm) on payment of Rs 200 in cash. The same can also be downloaded form the University’s official website: http://www.caluniv.ac.in/ or from Publishers & Booksellers Guild’s official website: http://www.kolkatabookfaironline.com/.
 
However, in the cases of downloaded form candidates are required to enclose a crossed Bank draft/ Bankers Cheque of Rs 200 drawn in favour of ‘PGDBP, CU’ payable at Kolkata. The duly filled in application forms along with required documents (details given in the website) should be submitted to the office of the CSBP/ PGDBPS course at Asutosh Building (First Floor), College Street Campus, Kolkata-700073 latest by September 6, 2011 (between 2-00pm and 6-30 pm). For further details regarding admission and application procedures candidates are requested to visit the University’s aforementioned official website.
 
Note: Candidates sponsored by publishing/printing organizations, are required to collect a letter of recommendation issued for the purpose by the Publishers & Booksellers Guild and to submit the same in original along with the applications.
