CBSE to Conduct AIEEE Online from Next Year

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) online for engineering aspirants in 22 cities, from next year.The announcement was made on Tuesday i.e. on September 13, 2011.
 
As per sources, the decision was taken after the success of the pilot project for online exam of the All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE), now the online exam will be held in 22 cities, from May 7 to 25, 2012. Moreover, the offline examination will be held on April 29, 2011 at the remaining 68 centres across the country.
 
The cities where the online tests will be held are Hyderabad, Trivandrum, Noida, Vijaywada, Bhopal, Kolkata, Vishakhapatnam, Mumbai, Allahabad, Chandigarh/ Mohali/ Pachkula, Jalandhar, Bhubaneshwar, Delhi/NCR except Faridabad, Jaipur, Kota, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Nagpur, Bangalore, Dehradun, Eranakulam and Lucknow.
 
Those students who opt for online examination will be given a concession of Rs 150 to Rs 300 in examination fees. Also, a mock test software will also be uploaded on CBSE website in the month of December. The mock test software will be uploaded for the purpose of practice by the examinees.
 
Furthermore, CBSE has decided to accept applications only in online mode and no physical form will be sold. This is to make sure that forms are available through the CBSE/AIEEE website. The examination fee will be accepted through credit/debit cards or demand drafts. Also, for filling online applications, a facilitation centre will be opened in every city from where physical forms were sold earlier.
