Central Govt Offers Rs Three Crore to Kurukshetra University

Chandigarh: The Central Government has offered a grant of Rs three crore to Kurukshetra University for a project, to strengthen its M Tech Nano Science and Technical courses. As per sources, Kurukshetra University has been given the project by the Union Ministry of Science and Technology. The project costs around Rs three crore, sources added.
 
On Monday i.e. February 14, 2011, a spokesman from Kurukshetra University said that the approval to this project was given by the Central government in the meeting of Nano Mission Council held at Bangalore. Further, sources informed that the central government has given the amount for purchase of Atomic Force Microscope, Nano Particle size Analyzer and other equipment required for the courses.
 
Besides, sources told that the students of the university would also get Rs 25000 as annual emergency grant and fellowship of Rs 8000 per month. The spokesman from the university told the sources that the Hindi Department of the University, in collaboration with Haryana Sahitya Akademi, would organize a national conference on February 15, 2011, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr Jainath Nalin.
