DTE Maharashtra Postpones MBA-CET to March 11

Mumbai: Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra, has postponed its MBA - Common Entrance Test, commonly known as MBA-CET, to March 11, 2012. Earlier the date scheduled for MBA-CET was February 26, 2012. However, there will be no change in MCA entrance exam which would be conducted on March 4, 2012.

As per the notification issued by the Directorate, the test date has been changed because it was coinciding with All India Council for Technical Education's (AICTE) Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT). The apex body for engineering education's first attempt towards uniform entrance exam - CMAT - would be conducted over a period of eight days from February 20-28.

MBA-CET is conducted by DTE Maharashtra every year in order to select eligible candidates for admission into two year full-time MBA/MMS and PGDBM/PGDM programmes in Government University managed, University departments and Unaided Institutes in the Maharashtra State. Admission to these courses (MBA/MMS) is centralized and covered under Centralized Admission Process (CAP) carried by the Competent Authority of the State of Maharashtra.
