GBTU 9th Convocation to be Held on December 28

Lucknow: The 9th convocation of Gautam Buddh Technical University (GBTU), formerly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, is scheduled to be held on December 28, 2011 from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm at IET Campus, Sitapur road, Lucknow. The convocation was earlier planned on November 22, 2011, but was postponed due to some unavoidable reasons, as stated by the notice issued by the University.
 
Students of B Tech / B Pharm / B Arch / BHMCT / MCA / MBA / M Tech / M Pharm / PhD, who have passed their examination in 2011 with 70% marks or above, are invited to the convocation. In addition, all recipients of M Tech / M Pharm / PhD, are also invited to receive their degrees in person at the ceremony. The ceremony will honor the recipients of Gold and Silver medals of the aforementioned courses and PhD degree holders with their respective degrees / medals on the dais. Other eligible Undergraduate and Post Graduate students shall be conferred upon the degrees via separate arrangement at their places in the Pandal on the same day.
 
Detailed list of degree / medal recipients is made available on the University’s official website: http://www.uptu.ac.in/. All those students who want to participate in the convocation ceremony are requested to register on the University’s abovementioned website latest by December 26, 2011. Moreover, registered students are also advised to report at the University on December 27, 2011 so that arrangements can be made accordingly. Students who do not participate in the convocation will be awarded their degrees in absentia.
