Ahmedabad: Good news for the students of Gujarat University (GU) who wish to pursue PhD degree. The GU has appointed 13 readers and professors as PhD guides. As per sources, some 90 students of GU who had applied for PhD will finally be able to follow the subjects of their choice.
According to a GU Official, this will fulfill the long-standing demand of the students. Also, to help students of management subjects, three PhD guides have been appointed. More than 50 college teachers had applied for guide's position at GU. But, the file was pending with the GU authorities for long. In addition, the Official also mentioned that they had to put them through a thorough scrutiny before appointing them as guides.
