IIM Indore Students Launch iMentor Programme

Indore: Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM-Indore) students have launched a mentorship programme called iMentor. The programme is being launched for IIM Indore aspirants who have got a call for the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). IIM Indore had started the programme last year and is continuing the trend this year too.

Students of IIM Indore feel that iMentor is a platform through which current PGP participants can interact with these candidates. According to the IIM students it is the first step towards a long relationship with the incoming participants.

With the launch of the programme one can get a better idea on how to prepare for WAT and PI and what to expect on the day of the WAT and PI, from the students of the B School who have already gone through that phase.

To join the IIM Indore Mentorship Programme iMentor, one will have to register themselves and a mentor will be assigned to those who register for the programme. For that, students are required to fill up a Google form:

According to the IIM Indore students the information gathered will be verified and then mapped to the current PGP participants who have volunteered for iMentor programme. They also added that the mapping will be on the basis of their Graduation Institute, Work Experience etc.

As per sources, prior to IIM Indore, the other IIMs like IIM Ahmedabad, Calcutta, Lucknow, Kozhikode and Shillong have also started their Mentorship Programme for the aspirants. IIM Indore had declared the short list of candidates for WAT and PI on January 21, 2011.
