IIM-L Offers GD/PI Video Mentorship Series on YouTube.com

Lucknow: Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM-L) has come up with an innovative idea of making the GD/PI Video Testimonial Series, to be launched on YouTube. This initiative launched by IIM Lucknow is quite unique among Indian B-schools wherein students from the current batch share their GD/PI experiences and provide useful tips to perform well in the process.

IIM Lucknow has launched the fourth edition of its Aspirant Mentorship Programme christened Ignicion 2011. The initiative is a part of the mentorship programme namely Ignicion 2011 which aims to provide the right guidance and mentorship to shortlisted candidates for the final stage of the CAT selection process. Candidates can access the videos series on YouTube by visiting the link below http://www.youtube.com/user/igncion2011

As per sources, the Video testimonial series has proved to be quite popular and the YouTube channel has garnered around 8000 views within 2 months of its launch. The Ignicion team coordinators believe that these videos are a great medium to convey a dense amount of information in the shortest possible time. The videos are also useful as aspirants can study the body language and other cues of the selected candidates.

According to the statement issued by Arant Agrawal, Team Ignicion member it is said that a picture speaks louder than words and YouTube provides us a rich medium for interaction with the aspirants. He said that the channel provides short 2-3 minute capsules which try to cover all aspects of the selection process like the Candidate’s Profile, Group Discussion, Essay and Personal Interview. He also added that the videos are intentionally kept short so as to provide a fast refresher course before the interview process starts.
