IIM Rohtak’s First Batch Students Gets Internship offers From Leading Firms

Haryana: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Rohtak’s first batch of students has secured attractive internship offers from leading companies across the nation. IIM Rohtak, new in the league of IIMs, that became functional in 2010, has announced its first summer placement procedure a booming success. The students of the inaugural batch now have the chance to intern for two months at leading companies.

As per sources, a total of 28 firms made offers in varied profiles such as corporate communications, corporate strategy, market research, advertising & brand management, internet marketing, IT consulting, Mergers & Acquisitions, project finance etc. apart from the conventional profiles of marketing, sales, corporate finance & retail banking.

Of the total, 45% of the batch opted for Marketing and related profiles, 42% for Finance related profiles, and the rest in consulting, operations and general management profiles. Standard Chartered and HPCL were the largest recruiters on campus, making 7 offers each.  Students of IIM Rohtak also secured internships in two of the ‘Big 4’ audit firms, Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

FMCG: Kraft Foods (Cadbury), Reckitt Benckiser
Consulting: Ernst& Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, IFCI
Media: Business Standard, draftFCB Ulka
Others: Aegis Global, Tata Power, Neemrana Hotels
