New York Film Academy Plans to Conduct Workshop in India

New York Film Academy (NYFA) is planning to conduct hands-on intensive filmmaking workshop in India in May 2011. As per sources, NYFA will conduct the workshop in collaboration with Yellow Submarine Film Pvt Ltd. NYFA is conducting the workshop in India for the first time, sources added. The workshop will be conducted at Lilavatibai Podar Senior Secondary School in Santacruz, Mumbai, India.
 
Further, sources informed that the duration of the workshop will be four weeks. The workshop is exclusively for those students who want intensive training in film making from award winning faculty. The workshop is for those, who are desirous to sharpen their skills in film making. The last date for registering for the workshop is January 31, 2011.
 
At the end of the programme, each student will receive a diploma. Adds Jerry Sherlock, Director, New York Film Academy said that they have successfully run workshops in over nine countries of the world in over 16 locations. Their faculty has been traveling to various parts of the world imparting the best in class film training with the latest cameras and film equipment, he added.
 
Suniti Ghoshal, Director, Yellow Submarine Film Pvt Ltd said that several students attend classes in the New York Film Academy every year from India. This is one of the most prestigious and sought after film academies in the world and they are proud to host NYFA in India for the summer workshop, she added.
