How to Apply
Interested candidates can apply online for all the medical courses on Institute’s official website: http://www.nimhans.kar.nic.in. The applications have to be filled online and submitted online only. The printout or hard copy of the Application Abstract should be taken for further procedures. The application fee for Medical & DCNT courses is Rs 1000 per course for general candidates and Rs 750 for SC/St candidates. The same has to be paid in the form of a DD (of applicable amount) drawn in the favor of “The Director, NIMHANS, Bangalore 560 029” payable at Bangalore. The requisite documents needed to be enclosed along with the completed application form for medical courses are the copies of Final year Mark Sheet, Attempt, Internship Completion, Degree, PG Degree, Registration Certificates and Birth Certificate/SSLC/10th Standard Marks sheet and Caste Certificate in case of SC/ST/OBC Category.
 
However, for needed documents for DCNT Course is the copies of Qualifying Exam Marks sheets, Certificate, Caste Certificate in case of SC/ST/OBC Category & experience certificate (if applicable). Duly filled hardcopy of the application form along with the DD and relevant enclosures should be sent in an envelope heading the name of the course(s) applied for, to “The Director, NIMHANS, Hosur Road, Bangalore – 560 029 latest by April 13, 2011. For further details about application and admission procedures, candidates are requested to visit Institute’s aforementioned official website.
 
Note: Foreign Nationals are required to submit their applications through the Diplomatic Channel (through the Ministry of External Affairs). They shall also appear for the common Entrance Test along with other candidates. Similarly, sponsored candidates should also submit their application through proper channel and they should also appear for Common Entrance Test. The candidates should produce the sponsorship certificate in the prescribed format.
