No Change in Seat Matrix for PG Courses Announces Ramadas

Mysore: S A Ramadas, Karnataka Medical Education Minister said that there will not be any change in the seat matrix for post graduate (PG) medical courses. The announcement was made in a press meeting held yesterday i.e. on April 13, 2011.
 
While addressing the reporters, minister said that the decision was taken as per the law and finalized after the government, private and minority institutions arrived at a consensus on the issue. A total of 415 medical degree and diploma seats would be allotted through counseling, he added.
 
Furthermore, he said that private medical colleges have to surrender 33 per cent of their seats to the government whereas linguistic and religious minority institutions have to surrender 20 per cent of their seats for the same.
