Raleigh Literary Society's Inaugural Ceremony Held at AMU

Aligarh: The inaugural ceremony for the Raleigh Literary Society was convened at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) by the English Department of the university. As per sources, Ms. Nazia Rahman, Vice President and Mr. Ahmar Alvi, Secretary, organized the ceremony. The function was commenced with the narration of few verses of the Quran, sources added.
 
Further, sources informed that Dr. Samina Khan, the teacher of English Department, the teacher- in charge of the Society, gave a warm welcome. A R Kidwai, Academic Staff College Director, the Chief Guest at the occasion, presented the inaugural address.
 
The welcome address was conveyed by S N Zeba, Chairman, Department of English. She stressed the fact that the Society is basically a literary Society. Besides, she encouraged the students to actively participate in various activities, to be organized by the Society.
