CBSE Postpones CTET JAN 2012 in Manipur, Punjab and Uttarakhand to May 5

New Delhi: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), has postponed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test January 2012, also known as CTET-JAN 2012, in the states of Manipur, Punjab and Uttarakhand to May 5, 2012 (Saturday). Earlier, the CTET January 2012 was scheduled to be held on January 29, 2012.
 
As per the notification issued by the Board, the Election Commission of India had requested CBSE that the CTET JAN 2012 scheduled to be held on January 29, 2012 in the states of Manipur, Punjab and Uttarakhand, may to be postponed due to the General Elections for Legislative Assemblies in these states.
 
Therefore, the date for CTET JAN 2012 in the states of Manipur, Punjab and Uttarakhand, has been postponed to May 5, 2012 (Saturday). Candidates appearing from the abovementioned states are advised to preserve the Admit Cards to appear for the postponed examination on the specified date.
