CBSE Starts Online Registration for NEET (UG) 2013

Pune: The online registration process for the most awaited and first ever National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate 2013, also known as NEET-UG, has started from December 1, 2012. NEET-UG is a common entrance test to be conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in order to select eligible candidates for admission into medical and dental courses.
 
The NEET-UG is scheduled to be conducted on May 5, 2013 (Sunday) from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm. It will be conducted at various cities in the states of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Orissa, Puducherry, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and few foreign countries.
 
According to the notification issued by the Board, NEET-UG will consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions, i.e., with each question carrying four options with single correct answer, from physics, chemistry and biology (botany and zoology). All those candidates who want to appear for the test are required to apply online by filling in the online registration form made available on the website: http://cbseneet.nic.in/. The application submission schedule is as follows:
  • Schedule for submission of online application forms without late fee: December 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012
  • Date of receipt of confirmation page in CBSE (without late fee): January 10, 2013
  • Schedule for submission of online application forms with late fee Rs 1000: January 1, 2013 to January 31, 2013
  • Date of receipt of confirmation page in CBSE for the applications submitted with late fee of Rs 1000: February 5, 2013
