Indian Maritime University (IMU), Chennai, has extended the last date of application form submission for admission into UG courses, to be offered at its various campuses in the session 2012.

IMU Chennai Extends Last Date of Application Form Submission for UG Courses 2012

Chennai: Indian Maritime University (IMU), Tamil Nadu, has extended the last date of application form submission for admission into UG (undergraduate) degree courses, to May 30, 2012. Earlier, the last date of submission of application form was April 24, 2012. The declaration has been made by the University through a notification issued on its official website: http://www.imu.tn.nic.in/ and national daily newspapers.
 
As per the notification, the University offers admission into the following courses: 3 - year B Sc (Nautical Science) degree course at T S Chanakya, Navi Mumbai, Mumbai campus; 4-year B Tech (Marine Engineering) degree course at Marine Engineering & Research Institute, Kolkata, Kolkata campus & Indian Maritime University, Chennai campus; 3-year B Sc (Maritime Science) degree course at Marine Engineering & Research Institute, Mumbai, Mumbai campus; and 4 year B Tech (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering) degree course at Visakhapatnam campus, for the session commencing in August 2012.
 
The selection for admission to the abovementioned courses is to be made through Joint Entrance Examination 2012 conducted by IITs on April 8, 2012. There will be no separate Entrance Examination for admission to the above institutes / courses and only those candidates whose names appear in the IIT-JEE-2012 rank lists will be called for counseling in order of merit, in the month of July / August 2012. All Indian candidates, seeking admission to the mentioned courses / institutes, are required to fill up the application form made available on IMU’s official website or in the selected branches of Syndicate Bank (details given on the website: http://www.imu.tn.nic.in/). The duly filled-in application form should be submitted at Indian Maritime University, Mumbai Campus, Karave, Nerul, Navi Mumbai - 400 706, latest by May 30, 2012.
