Jamia Hamdard to Organize Annual Convocation

New Delhi: The annual convocation ceremony of Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, is scheduled to be held on March 10, 2012 at 11.00 am. The venue for the convocation event will be Jamia Hamdard. As per the notification issued by the University, Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, Hon'ble Former President of India, has kindly consented to grace the event as the Chief Guest and to deliver the Convocation Address. The function will be presided over by Mr Saiyid Hamid, Hon'ble Chancellor, Jamia Hamdard.
 
According to the notification, the convocation is being held for UG, PG and PhD who have passed out in 2010 & 2011 and BUMS-III-Professional passed out in 2008 & 2009. In addition, to participate in the convocation, candidates are also required to confirm their participation in rehearsal and convocation by filling in the application form. The application form is made available on University's official website: http://www.jamiahamdard.ac.in/. Candidates will need to submit their confirmation forms along with requisite documents (details given in the website), latest by March 5, 2012.
 
Moreover, all those candidates who want to take part in the ceremony are required to attend positively the rehearsal of the convocation. The rehearsal is scheduled to be held on March 9, 2012 at 4.00 pm at Convocation Venue. After reaching the University, students will be required to deposit the fee of Rs 500 only (Rs 200 as convocation fee & Rs 300 as degree fee). After submitting the requisite fee and dues, candidates are required to obtain the admit card for the convocation from the examination branch.
 

It is also notified that the convocation gown shall be supplied by the contractor on March 9, 2012 from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm against payment and security of Rs 650 (approx) at Dean, students’ welfare (DSW) office.
