Kurukshetra University to Host 29th Convocation on February 8

Kurukshetra: Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana, will host its 29th convocation ceremony on February 8, 2012, from 12.00 noon onwards. The ceremony will be conducted at Srimad-Bhagwad-Gita-Sadan Auditorium of the University. Degrees and medals will be awarded to the meritorious students of the University, who completed their PhD / M Phil and Post Graduate campus programmes during the academic session 2010-11.
 
As per sources, Honorable President of India, Pratibha Devi Singh Patil, will preside over the ceremony as the guest of honor. Furthermore, the Hon. President will felicitate the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Navin Chandra Ramgoolam, with the honorary D Litt degree at the convocation. Toppers of the said courses will be conferred upon with gold medals.
 
Candidates willing to appear in the convocation should attend the compulsory rehearsal of the convocation which will be conducted on February 7, 2012 from 9:30 am onwards in Srimad-Bhagwad-Gita-Sadan Auditorium. Invitations have been sent to the awardees by post. Those who have not received the invitation can download the consent letter from the link: http://www.kuk.ac.in/userfiles/file/Year2012/News/Consent%20Letter.pdf. After filling up all the details as given on the consent letter, one should mail it on the email ID: examdata@kuk.ac.in.
 
Candidates can collect their identification cards from the chairperson of the respective department on the day of the rehearsal. One should bring two passport-size photographs for the identification process at the time of the rehearsal. Candidates who do not have an identification card, duly attested by the respective chairperson, and do not attend the rehearsal will not be allowed to attend the convocation ceremony.
