NIT Raipur to Conduct Third Convocation

Raipur: The third convocation ceremony of National Institute of Technology Raipur (NIT Raipur), Chhattisgarh, is scheduled to be conducted on January 14, 2013, from 11.00 am onwards. According to the notification issued by the University, students who passed examinations of November-December 2011 and April-May 2012 are eligible to attend the convocation.
 
As per the notification, Dr. Anil Kakodkar, Homi Bhabha Chair Professor, Department of Atomic Energy, Bhabha Atomic Research Center, Mumbai, has consented to grace the event as Chief Guest and deliver the Convocation address. However, Sri Sudheer Vasudeva, Chairman (Board of Governors), NIT Raipur, will preside over the Convocation ceremony.
 
All those candidates who want to attend the convocation ceremony are required to sent an application to receive degree at the convocation. The application for the same can be downloaded from the Institute’s official website: http://www.nitrr.ac.in/. The fee for receiving the degree in person is Rs 1200 which is to be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of Director NIT Raipur payable at Raipur. The duly filled in and completed application form along with DD should be sent to Prof. (I/c), Examinations, Examination Cell, National Institute of Technology, G.E. Road, Raipur (C.G.), Pin: 492010, latest by December 31, 2012 through speed post.
