SPJIMR Introduces Women Manager Programme

Mumbai: S P Jain Institute of Management Research (SPJIMR), Maharashtra, has launched an exclusive management programme for women, namely, Women Manager Programme (WMP). This newly introduced course will be a certificate programme of one-year duration, which will teach both theory as well as practical knowledge of business.
 
According to the sources, WMP has been designed in such a way that it sooths especially to women who would like to learn and understand business concepts and are looking forward to stand on an equal footing with their male counterparts on running the family business.
 
As per sources, this certificate programme also focuses on soft skills, such as building confidence and courage, and developing appropriate attitudes and temperament. In addition, with this specialized management programme, women will also learn how to gather required knowledge to deal with subject specialists and will broaden their perspectives on global issues and issues related to growth of businesses.
 
As far as eligibility criteria is concerned, the minimum age required for applying to the program is 35 years and aspirants should have a keen interest to run business. However, the course is expected to cost around two lakh. This course will be offered by SPJIMR’s Family Managed Business (FMB) department, which has been introduced to keep up with the trend of more and more women involving themselves with family businesses.
