UPGMEE 2012 First Counseling Date Announced

Dehradun: The first counseling for Uttarakhand Post Graduate Medical Entrance Exam 2012, popularly known as UPGMEE, is scheduled to be held on April 9, 2012, for admission into various PG medical (MD / MS / MDS) courses. UPGMEE 2012 was conducted by G B Pant Agriculture and Technical University, Pant Nagar, on March 25, 2012 and the result for the same was declared on March 31, 2012.
 
Candidates, who appeared for the exam, can check their rank wise results by visiting the University's official website: http://www.gbpuat.ac.in/ or direct link: http://www.gbpuat.ac.in/news/Result%20of%20MDMSMDS.pdf. However, for the upcoming counseling, only candidates who have secured 50% marks (General Category) (Rank 1-85 for MD / MS and Rank 1-2 for MDS) & 40% marks (Reserved Category - SC / ST & OBC) (Rank 1-153 for MD / MS) in UPGMEE-2012, are eligible.
 
The counseling session will be conducted at Medical Education Unit, 107 Chander Nagar, Dehradun for allocation of Govt quota seats in MD / MS / MDS in different subjects as per availability. Before appearing for counseling, the candidates must bring along all the original documents with one set of photocopies. The list of all the documents required is made available in the prospectus.
 
Candidates who want to take part in the counseling are required to register themselves between 9.00 am and 1.00 pm on the day of counseling i.e. April 9, 2012 and for document verification by the counseling board. In addition, candidates also have to deposit Rs 1000 in cash as registration fee (non-refundable). However, the allotment of seats will commence from 3.00 pm onwards.
 
Note: Candidates who opt for Government College Haldwani have to execute a bond to serve State Government for five years on the prescribed bond performa by the State of Uttarakhand.
