YVU To Conduct First Convocation on November 5

Kadapa: The very first convocation ceremony of Yogi Vemana University (YVU), YSR District, Andhra Pradesh, is scheduled to be conducted on Monday i.e. November 5, 2012 at the University campus. According to the notification issued by the University, His Excellency, E.S.L. Narasimhan, Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Chancellor of the University, has consented to preside over the convocation.
 
In addition, Professor Arjula Ramachandra Reddy, the founder and the present Vice-Chancellor, will present a status report on the progress and growth of the University. As per sources, around 1000 students who have pursued Postgraduate courses during the years 2007-2011 in Yogi Vemana University will receive degrees on the occasion. Also, during the ceremony, the University will confer Honoros Causa on Dr. P. Rama Rao, an eminent academician and a distinguished scientist of our nation.
 
Sources informed that the recipient of honorary doctorate Dr. P. Rama Rao will also deliver the convocation address. The University is geared up to conduct this prestigious and momentous event in a professional and graceful manner. Established in the year 2006, YVU is one of the pioneering universities in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Upgraded by an act of Government of Andhra Pradesh in 2007, the University is spread over 450 acres of lush greenery with well-equipped state-of-the-art infrastructure.
