Calcutta University Announces PhD Programme in the Department of Horticulture 2013 Admission

Department of Horticulture, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, University of Calcutta, Kolkata, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) programme, to be offered in the upcoming session 2013. Admissions will be made on the basis of candidates' performance in the Research Eligibility Test (RET), followed by an interview, which will be conducted by the University department.
 
Note: Candidates, who have already passed JRF / NET / SET or any other equivalent examination or have passed M Phil, need not appear for the admission test. They can directly submit a statement of purpose or research in brief and appear in the interview.

The RET is scheduled to be held on February 28, 2013.

How to Apply
Interested candidates are required to download the prescribed application format, from the University’s official website: http://www.caluniv.ac.in/. The direct link to download the same is: http://www.caluniv.ac.in/admission%20notice/Application%20format-Horticulture.pdf. The application fee is Rs 100, which can be paid through a challan (obtainable from the University). The duly filled in application form, along with all the requisite documents (details given on the website), must be submitted, latest by February 25, 2013.
