GADVASU CET Scheduled on June 25

The Common Entrance Test at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University is scheduled to be held on June 26, 2013. The University will conduct the common entrance test for admission into various undergraduate courses in veterinary, fisheries and dairy technology, to be offered in the session 2013-14.

Eligibility prescribed for admission into undergraduate programme in veterinary and fisheries is 10+2 with medical stream with chemistry and English from a recognized board/university, while for dairy technology programme the eligibility criteria is 10+2 with non-medical stream having chemistry and English .

The registrar of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Dr PD Juyal has made the announcement that the admissions to different undergraduate and postgraduate programme in veterinary, fisheries and dairy technology are open for the academic session 2013-14. Dr Juyal also mentioned that due to the increase in demand of these courses among rural and urban students, as observed in preceding years, number of applicants is likely to increase this year.

Moreover, he informed that the prospectus containing detailed information of admission capacity, counseling/interview and reservation of seats etc. along with application forms are available from April 15, 2013 onwards from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm on all working days at the office of dean, College of Veterinary Science, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana.

As per the guidelines of the University, the last date to apply for admission to undergraduate courses is May 10, however, with late fee the application forms can be submitted by May 17 and for postgraduate programme the deadline is June 28, however, with late fee the application forms can be submitted by July 5.

The University will select candidates for master’s programme in veterinary, fisheries, dairy technology and animal biotechnology on the basis of merit obtained in the qualifying examination.
