IITB-Monash Research Academy Announces PhD Scholarships for 2013

The IITB-Monash Research Academy (The Academy) , an Indian-Australian research partnership, has invited applications from competent candidates for research scholarships for June 2013 intake. The Academy is an exciting partnership between the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB) and Monash University, Melbourne (Australia).
 
The Academy's jointly-badged Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) programme has students who will undertake interdisciplinary research in the fields of science, technology, engineering, humanities and management. However, its June 2013 intake will focus on attracting excellent and highly motivated students to work in areas of applied research, sponsored by industrial partners.
 
According to the notification issued by the Academy, if selected, candidates will receive a generous scholarship, co-supervision from professors at IITB & Monash, a jointly-badged PhD Degree from IITB & Monash and a special fellowship to visit Monash University in Australia. Apart from the lucrative benefits, the candidates will be getting an international research experience with an access to world-class research facilities at the academy.
 
As far as the eligibility is concerned, candidates with a first class Masters Degree in Engineering or Science (or an MBA) from a reputed University, OR with Bachelors Degree in Engineering / Science (with High GPA), are eligible to apply for the scholarship and pursue a successful career in research. However, candidates with high scores in GATE, GRE, CSIR, CAT or any other competitive exam, are encouraged to apply.
