Modi’s speech floors SRCC students

New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister (CM) Narendra Modi delivered a power packed Keynote speech at the Shree Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), which is one of the most prestigious colleges of Delhi University. Orating to the youngsters, the Gujarat CM discussed about the importance of Surajya and development. The ceremony was held in the national capital, quite recently.

In his hour-long speech, he avowed that development is the only solution to the dynamic issues, faced by the country today. Expressing his confidence in India’s youth, he said that the youth can surely fulfill Swami Vivekananda’s dream of a Jagad Guru Bharat. As per sources, a record number of youngsters were present at the event to hear, one of India’s leading Chief Ministers speak.

After discussing about his state’s initiatives in agriculture, industry and the services sector, he spoke about the significance of good governance. He quoted “we have got Swarajya but after 60 years of freedom the nation wants, Surajya”. Surajya is nothing but maintaining good governance, to the nation and its people. If India has to make a distinct recognition on the world map, Surajya is what the nation should give importance to, he added.

Talking about his progressive outlook, Modi explained that there is only a need to think differently, visualize things and dream of bringing change in the passive state of nation. Affirming the importance of law and order, he added that with the same laws, same rules, regulations, same people, the nation can move ahead & a lot can be done.

Impressed by Gujarat CM’s inspiring speech, few students present at the gathering, suggested that Modi should be the next Prime Minister of India. Many echoed the sentiment as they believed that policy making should be fast tracked and as Modi talked about speed and skill, in his speech, he should be given a chance to lead the country. However, some students protested and shouted slogans against him, outside the college, for his alleged role in the 2002 communal riots, in the state of Gujarat.
