University of Hyderabad Issues Special Admission Announcement 2013-14

Hyderabad: University of Hyderabad, also known as Hyderabad University, Andhra Pradesh, has issued a special admission announcement for session 2013-14. This announcement is mainly for the attention of SC / ST / OBC and PWD aspirants, who want to take admission in various PG courses of this University.
 
As per the notification issued by the University, there are some benefits being offered to the prospective applicants. One of the enlisted benefits is that 15% and 7.5% seats in each course are reserved for SC and ST candidates, respectively, with a provision for interchangeability between SC & ST, wherever necessary. In addition to this, up to 3% of approved intake in each course is provided as supernumerary seats for Persons with Disability (PWD).
 
According to the announcement, relaxation of marks in the minimum eligible condition for admission to SC / ST / PWD candidates for admission to Master's degree (5-year integrated), PG and PG Diploma courses, is also provided. However, seats available in the University hostels will be provided to SC/ST candidates as per GOI norms.
 
Moreover, 27% of the seats in each course are reserved for OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates. Besides, there is no relaxation in the minimum qualification for admission and entrance examination for OBCs. The cut-off marks in the entrance examination (both written and interview put together) for OBC candidates would be 10% lower than the cut off marks prescribed for General Category.
 
Interested candidates are required to apply online by filling in the online application form made available on the University's official website: http://www.uohyd.ac.in/. The prospectus and instructions for filling the online application form can be downloaded from the above mentioned University's official website. The entrance examination fee is Rs 350 (Rs 150 for SC / ST / PH candidates) for each course. Last date of submitting applications is January 21, 2013.
