UP Board High School & Intermediate Exam 2013 To Start From March 12

Allahabad: Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh, popularly known as UP Board, Allahabad, has announced the datehseet for High School (10th) and Intermediate ( 12th) examinations, for the year 2013. The exams will begin from March 12, 2013. Basudeo Yadav, Director of UP Board, confirmed that High School examination will begin from March 12, 2013 and span over 14 working days, ending on April 3, 2013. However, the first paper for intermediate exams will start on March 12, 2013 and continue for the next 25 working days, with the last paper scheduled for April 18, 2013. He further added that the examinations will be conducted in two shifts - 7:30 am to 10:45 am (Morning Shift) and 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm (Evening Shift).

Sources informed that over 62,08,229 students are expected to appear in High School and Intermediate examinations, of which 20,56,678 students will sit for High School exams, while 36,03,857 students will be taking Intermediate exams, this year. As per records, the examinee count has increased by around 5,47,694 as compared to the previous year. Yadav further added that the examinations will be conducted at 10,000 examination centers across the state. In order to prevent unfair means during the examination, the Board has decided to provide coded answer sheets to the candidates.

Candidates will be given extra 15 minutes for reading their question paper, apart from the allotted time of examination. The Board has also decided to give 20 minutes to visually challenged and differently abled students, as per Yadav's concluding statement.
