Hyderabad: Approximate3.5 lakh students are expected to appear for EAMCET 2009, to be conducted on May 14, 2009. 3, 11,758 students would appear for the engineering stream in 606 centres and 65,630 students for the medical and agricultural stream in 119 centres across Andhra Pradesh.
LVAR Sarma, Convenor, EAMCET 2009 said in a press release that the exam would be held in two sessions, morning session from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm for engineering stream and from 2.30 to 5.30 pm for agricultural and medicine stream. Candidates are advised to reach the examination centers one hour before the scheduled start of the examination. He also added that candidates would not be allowed into the hall after the scheduled start of the examination. Moreover, the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) on May 14 would run additional city services for the convenience of students appearing for EAMCET. Buses to all exam centers from important places in the twin cities would be operated between 9.30 and 11.30 am for engineering aspirants and from 2.30 and 5.30 pm for agriculture and medical aspirants. RTC officers would be present at important points enroute to ensure punctuality of the special operations.
Minister for Technical Education R Chenga Reddy on May 14 would draw the code of the question paper set to be issued for the students appearing for EAMCET 2009. The draw would be held at 5.45 am for the engineering test and at 10.30 am for agriculture and medicine test in the UGC Academic Staff College Auditorium, JNT University Campus at Kukatpally.
