New Delhi: All India Management Association (AIMA) is likely to introduce a new test. The association plans to launch the test with an aim to bridge the gap between management education and employability in India.
Rekha Sethi, Director General - AIMA, said that the association is looking at initiating a new test across business schools, which students can take after the first or second year. This test could serve as a gauge for the corporates to judge the employability of candidates and help B-schools and corporates find a common platform. She further added that the association is currently in the process of getting responses from the corporates.
As per sources, AIMA also plans to introduce niche courses to educate people, for becoming effective managers in the public sector and local government, municipalities and in setting up and running physical and social infrastructure. The idea is to look beyond retail and marketing. The first such course on financial management will be launched in the January session. Also, the course will be available in both - distance education and e-learning modes.
