DU Volunteers Team to Aid Disabled Students Seeking Admission

New Delhi: Delhi University is training a team of volunteers and teachers, in order to make admission process friendlier for disabled students.These trained volunteers and teachers would help them in completing their forms and formalities of the admission process.
 
DU's admission process would commence form June 1. Therefore, the Varsity is going to place trained volunteers and sign language experts to make it a stress free affair for them. Hearing and visually impaired students would be assisted by a team of sign language experts and interpreters. 

K. Vij, Dean, Students' Welfare said that the varsity is also going to train volunteers to assist the visually impaired students. They would help in completing their forms which are also available in Braille. 

Moreover, a centre has also been set up at the DSW office for disabled students, where they can purchase and deposit the admission forms as well as can attend the counseling for admissions.
