IGNOU All Set to Launch New Program

New Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is all set to launch a new Post Graduate Program for Certificate in Project Management this July. IGNOU is going to team up with the London-based International Project Management Association (IPMA) - Project Management Associates - and Centre for Excellence in Project Management to expand the content for the course, engage resource persons and create placement opportunities. Presently, IPMA is training people in the tools and art of handling projects in 44 countries across the world.

According to Manoj Kulsreshtha of the IGNOU School of Engineering and Technology, and the Project Coordinator for the new course, the project management concepts would improve the ability to keep pace with the international happenings. Further, he also added that education and training in the area of project management is an effective technique of converting a society into a project oriented society.

According to the analysis, the new program would be beneficial for the working professionals, academia, aspiring managers and technical manpower. IGNOU’s target for this course would be managers in different organizations, corporate sector, service and factory level, engineers handling regular projects, executives working on various schemes, and people desiring to polish their skills in managing social projects. Interested candidates can download the application form available in the IGNOU website and submit it by this month end.
