New Delhi: Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) will offer a two months certificate course in Radio Jockey. Students enrolling for the two-month certificate course will have to pay a fee of Rs 25000. The last date of applying for the course is September 30, 2009.
Radio has become an important part of people’s lives. From intimate, exclusive gigs to full blown outdoor concerts, it gives every information at the tip of one’s finger. Although the popularity of radio had suffered badly with the advent of television and internet, the opening of the FM radio to private channels has infused a new life to radio.
The two months certificate programme by IIMC is being introduced with an eye on the growing popularity of the radio in metro cities. The programme will provide an opportunity to all those students, who wish to pursue a career as a Radio Jockey (RJ).
