Karnataka State Women's University Receives UGC Grant

Bijapur: Karnataka State Women's University (KSWU) has received grant worth Rs 9.77 crore from University Grants Commission (UGC) under the 11th five year scheme. As per the sources, out of total sanctioned amount, Rs 50 lakh has already been released. This amount will be used for construction of the building and for equipment, books and other basic facilities.
 
Karnataka State Women's University is the first university in the state of Karnataka, exclusively dedicated to the task of educating women. KSWU is a state run university. The university has received the grant after a report submitted by UGC experts who visited university. The UGC expert team after a thorough scrutiny has commended the syllabus, examination methods, library and overall activities of the university.
