Thanjavur: Shanhmugha Arts Science Technology and Research Academy (SASTRA) University will offer M Tech (Master of Technology) course in Advanced Manufacturing, from the ensuing session 2009.
SASTRA Universitywould offer this programme in collaboration with Lucas TVS. The university has already signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Lucas, in order to offer the programme.
Mr Ravichandran, Chief Executive Officer of Lucas TVS, said that they were interested in partnership with educational institutions, to offer courses. He further mentioned that Lucas has already set up the Advance Manufacturing cell in Indian Institute of Technology-Chennai and the Centre for Quality at Anna University-Chennai.
