Kozhikode: Karunya University, Coimbatore, will be offering M Tech course in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) from 2009-10. Keeping up the spirit of Agenda 21 of Rio Summit, the Dublin Conference and the Water Meets at Stockholm the proposed course has been designed by the experts.
The proposed course is applicable in the perspective of integrated management of natural resources and comprehensive insight in resource management. Main objective of the course is to impart higher education, carry out research, build capacity, and solve location specific problems for achieving sustainable water resources management, especially in the semi-arid zone of India.
Any engineering graduate and post graduate in Physical Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geology, or Environmental Sciences) is eligible for this two year inter disciplinary course offered by the varsity.
