Come September 2009 and Management Aptitude Test (MAT) will go online.

MAT To Go Online

New Delhi: All India Management Association (AIMA) decided to conduct Management Aptitude Test (MAT) through online mode from this September. As per the records, over 400 B - Schools accept the MAT score in India. Last year about 3.5 lakh students took the exam. The decision is taken to keep in par with the increase in the number of students appearing the exam.
 
Presently, AIMA is creating infrastructure in 10 different cities for the conducting online test. Students will have to come to the test centers of AIMA to take up the test. AIMA also plans to outsource the test centers to colleges having the required technology and infrastructure. Moreover, the change will be introduced in a phased manner and there will be no revision in the exam pattern and format.
 

C S Bijoy, Director, Centre for Management Services, AIMA said that the exam fee would increase with the test becoming online and it may or may not be transferred to the students is yet to be decided. He added that they are also in process with foreign universities to get MAT to be a part of their selection criteria.
