Karnataka: Medical Council of India (MCI) has given its nod to Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS) to starts its admission procedure. The institute was denied to conduct the admissions based on a report during a scrutiny conducted by MCI.
The institute was restrained from conducting its admission process after an inspection carried out by MCI team on May 20 and 21. During the inspection MCI found that the institute was lacking in teaching staff. Subsequently, there was one more inspection on June 30. However, later on MCI in its recommendation to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has given permission to the institute to conduct admission procedure. The counselling for the admission will be conducted on August 4 for admission to the 100 seats available in the institute.
