Jaipur: Central Government has issued directives to set up ten new Polytechnic colleges in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Central Government has estimated an expenditure Rs 123 crore for the project and has initially sanctioned an amount of Rs 12 crores.
The new colleges would be developed as model colleges of the state. According to the decision of Technical Education Department, these colleges would come up in Bundi, Dausa, SriGanganagar, Hanumangarh, Jalore, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Nagaur, Pali and Tonk. As per sources, permission has also been granted for Polytechnic colleges in Baran, Dholpur, Jaiselmer, Dungarpur and Pratapgarh. Moreover, the admission procedure at the institutes will start from the new academic session.
Mr. Vipin Chandra Sharma, Chief Secretary of Technical Education Department, has said that the construction of new buildings for the colleges would start soon. According to the guidelines issued by the centre, these colleges would have modern apparatus and the best of faculty, akin to the top Polytechnic colleges of the country.
