In the last couple of years, with the pace of globalization, the business world has moved into an increasingly corporate and service-based economy. Today, there is a surge in demand for MBA programs. It is one of the most popular and sought-after degrees available at the present scenario. The growing popularity of management education is because of the essential and irreversible changes occurring in the economy, government policies, outlook of business and industry across the nation. Indian economy has undergone a paradigm shift, and at present, India is the second fastest growing economy of the world. Therefore, to sustain the growth rate of the economy, skilled manpower for the management sector has become a fundamental need of the society.
Numerous B Schools have come up to cater to the need for the tremendously growing popularity of MBA course. There are number of institutes offering MBA courses, through different universities. A survey was carried out by Ipsos Indica – The Advertising Research Specialist, which focused on MBA courses offered in 104 institutes. In order to arrive at the top 50 institutes, each institute was rated on 22 parameters, in five domains, which were – i) Learning Experience ii) Global Exposure iii) Resources & Infrastructure iv) Brand & Marketability v) Quality of Outcomes. After the thorough assessment, a list was prepared that enlisted India’s top 50 Business Schools.
