6TH Technology in Education Awards Announced

Bangalore: On Thursday i.e. March 18, 2010,Intel, in collaboration with Department of State Education Research and Training (DSERT) and Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA), honored the winners of the 6TH Technology in Education Awards.
 
This event is organized annually to achieve an effective amalgamation of technology in teaching and learning processes. As per sources, three schools, 15 teachers, 15 student groups and five primary teachers / Block Resource Persons (BRP) were awarded for the best use of technology in education and integration of innovative teaching methods.
 
Furthermore, a total number of 450 entries were received for the competition from government schools across the state, with good number of teachers and students from rural parts participating in the contest. The cash prize included Rs 10,000 each for schools, Rs 5000 each for teachers, Rs 2500 for each students group and Rs 3000 each for Primary school teachers / BRP's.
