All Indian Universities to be E-Linked in the Next Three Years

Coimbatore: While inaugurating the WI-FI facility at Avinashilingam University for Women, Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology A. Raja announced that in the span of three years, all the universities in India will be facilitate with Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi), through an exclusive optic fibre network.
 
At the inauguration function, the Minister said that every university in India, including those offering medical, agricultural, arts, science and engineering courses, would become part of the National Knowledge Network. Under the network, all the universities will be e-linked. For the purpose, a whopping sum of Rs 6000 crore is estimated to be spent.
 
Speaking in tune with A. Raja, chancellor of the Avinashilingam University T.K. Shanmuganandam said that with the passage of time, the paper-pencil mode of the examination scheme in India would be replaced by online medium.
