AMU To Conduct 17 Research Workshops

Aligarh: The UGC Academic Staff College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), under the directorship of Professor A.R. Kidwai, will conduct 17 workshops for research. Recently, the University Grants Commission (UGC) issued the directive that workshops should be organized for the professional development of research scholars.
 
Many research scholars of AMU, including those from local degree colleges, have gained a lot from these innovative programmes that focused on sensitizing research scholars to the latest developments in their respective area of study, research methodology, research ethics and IT skills. Also, such kinds of workshops have gone a long way in training them for undertaking quality research, which will advance the frontiers of knowledge and will bring laurels to the university.
 
As per sources, one in Geography, three in English, two in Commerce, one in Biochemistry, one in Economics and two workshops in Statistics have been organized so far, while two workshops in English and four workshops in Statistics are in pipeline, scheduled to be organized during May to June this year.
