Chennai: Anna University in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, will offer three new courses from the upcoming academic session 2010. The new programmes which are to be introduced are Master of Business Administration in Hospitality Management, Master of Architecture in Advanced Architecture and Master of Engineering in Space Technology.
On Monday i.e. on April 12, 2010, Dr P. Mannar Jawahar, Vice Chancellor (VC) of Anna University, made the announcement regarding the introduction of the new courses. Dr Mannar made the announcement during a ceremony held to celebrate the distribution of certificates to students, who had undergone a week-long training on mobile communication at the Sudharsan Engineering College. He also added that about 5,000 engineering students will undergo training on value added mobile communication technology, which will be imparted jointly by Anna University and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL).
Further, he also informed that till date, around 900 students of several engineering colleges had undergone the same training that enhanced the scope and prospects of students in understanding the issues of mobile communication through a creative approach.
