CBSE 10th Results Based on Grading System

New Delhi: The CBSE Board has announced the 10th class results today, i.e. 28.05.2010. This year, CBSE Board has adopted a new system of evaluation. The CBSE 10th Class result has been published with the grades. Students have been allotted the grades in their subjects like Grade A1 for 10, Grade A2 for 9, Grade B1 for 8 and so on.
 
The new system of marking based on grades is called - Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE). It comprises formative and summative assessment of the student to be done over two terms – first and second -during the year-long academic calendar. Students have been also given the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of the 10th Class, which was earlier given as the percentage. Under this system, average grades obtained by students in each subject will be considered while allocating them different streams in Class XI.
 
As per sources, CBSE has made changes as per directions issued by the HRD Minister Mr Kapil Sibal. Mr. Sibal has suggested step to change the pattern of CBSE 10th class after the suicidal tendency of the class tenth students by getting fail in the class. The CBSE 10th class 2010 has been published on the CBSE Boards official website: www.cbseresults.nic.in. The CBSE Class 10 result is also available through IVRS and SMS system all over India.
