Chandigarh: This year, the Haryana government has made computer literacy mandatory in all its colleges.
As per sources, Minister of State for Agriculture and Cooperatives Sukhbir Singh Kataria has said that modern computer labs are being set up in every government college in the state.
Furthermore, a government spokesman said that as per the decision, students of B.A., B.Com, M.Com and BBA will also have to acquire knowledge of computers for attaining a degree.
Haryana in total has over 650 colleges and eight universities, including an all-women university near Sonepat.
